Can a dentist refuse treatment to a person with HIV?
No. The more the doctor knows about your health, the better they can prepare the appointment and choose safe procedures for you.
Is the treatment really free?
Yes, if you have a medical certificate confirming eligibility for a higher-risk group and you are insured under the NFZ, the treatment is funded for you.
What should I bring?
A medical certificate and an identity document. Call before your first visit and we will tell you if anything else is needed.
Do I need to mention my condition?
Yes. Information about infection is needed primarily for your safety. It helps the doctor choose proper medicines and prepare the visit. All health information is protected by medical confidentiality.
Is my medical information confidential?
Yes. Health information, including diagnosis, is covered by medical confidentiality and staff cannot disclose it without your consent.
